Indonesia has many stunning architectural masterpiece, but certainly many of us who only know Borobudur, Prambanan or Garuda Wisnu Kencana in Bali and the Istiqlal Mosque which is one of the largest mosque in Southeast Asia.
Among all the buildings masterpiece above certainly many who do not know about Taman Alam Lumbini. This park is the highest and most beautiful pagoda in Indonesia. Why do I say the most beautiful, because it is situated on top of a hill in the area of North Sumatra Berastagi. Grandeur Pagoda in Taman Alam Lumbini is seen as the magnificent building which covered the gold-colored paint is very bright. Size of the building was also very big so we could go around every corner of this Pagoda with awe.
Almost all the colors in the Pagoda Taman Alam Lumbini has a golden color and is what makes the look so magnificent and luxurious. Underneath is the bracelet of gold ornaments and the Pagoda there are four room-sized Buddha at the center overlooking the four sides of the room, and at the center serve as the location for visitors who want to pray.
In Taman Alam Lumbini Buddhist temple stands a very majestic and is a replica of Shwedagon Pagoda in Burma (Myanmar). In addition to building a magnificent Pagoda, a 3-hectare complex is also spread beautiful garden by following the natural contours.
Replica of Shwedagon Pagoda at Taman Alam Lumbini, Berastagi, Karo District, of North Sumatra is a replica of the second highest after Burma and the highest Pagoda in Indonesia that won MURI (Indonesian Record Museum) by category Highest Pagoda in Indonesia.
For you who are in the field or a visit to Medan, besides Toba sempatkanlah to visit this pagoda Taman Alam Lumbini. Pagoda architecture is worth visiting and deserves to be called one of the buildings that could be the pride of Indonesia.
Pagoda Alam Lumbini Park can be reached by car. About 2-3 hours long journey from Medan depending on traffic conditions. Pagoda Taman Alam Lumbini is located in the village of Tongkoh, Berastagi, North Sumatra. Create an bacpacker-Silk can ride public transportation to Berastagi it costs around Rp 10,000 or less.
You can get off at Tahura or Simpang Tongkoh. Tongkoh intersection can be identified with citrus fruit monument in the middle of the junction. Just follow the arrows and signs must walk about 20 minutes. Throughout this short trip, on either side of the road there are many strawberry garden.
